One very beneficial and great exercise is walking. When we walk we involve all the muscles in our bodies and we burn calories. Losing calories while walking depends on two factors: the weight and the walking area that you cover. For example, if you walk 4 mph. you will burn 400 calories in an hour. 2000 steps are an equivalent to a mile and it burns 100 calories. In order to lose one pound, you will burn 3500 calories. Doctors say that the healthiest way to lose weight is one pound per week and that is 500 cal. per day or 5 miles.
