Signs that your kidneys need detoxification!

Kidney disease is one of the leading causes of death in the USA. Their main task is to eliminate the toxins and waste products from your body. They also regulate the amount of fluids in your body, maintain internal balance (homeostasis), and create the urine.

There are different kidney conditions and they all affect different parts of the kidneys such as the ureter, tissues in the kidneys, or renal vein and renal artery. Today we are going to present you 7 common symptoms of different kidney conditions.

  • Irregular urine odor

The odor of your urine can tell a lot about your health. It depends on the temperature in the environment, the level of physical activity, your diet, and the level of hydration. “Musty ammonia odor” is the odor most people have as a result of urea in the urine. Sweat or fishy smell is common if people take certain supplements, have liver disease, and diabetes.

  • Changes in the color of the urine

A healthy person should have pale yellow urine. People who drink a lot of water might have a lighter color or darker those who drink fewer fluids.

Red, pink, orange, black, and brown urine is considered as abnormal and it could be a sign of a disease. Hematuria or blood in the urine is something that you should check with your doctor immediately.

  • Changes in the urine

95 % of the urine is water and the rest is a mix of metabolized drugs, minerals, and other substances. If you notice a presence of froth or pus in your urine it might be a sign of an underlying health problem. Too much protein in your urine might also be a signal of some problem.

  • Abdominal pain

The kidneys are located in the abdominal area and a kidney pain is located on the edges of your abdomen and your back.

If you feel a burning sensation during urinating that isn’t a kidney problem that is usually a urinary tract infection.

  • Frequent urinating

A healthy person passes 16-100 ounces of water and people who have kidney problems produce a shortage or an excess of urine. Oliguria is a condition when the person produces less than the normal amount and polyuria when the person produces more than 100 ounces of urine per day. A change in your urinating habits should be checked with your doctor.

  • Shortness of breath, nausea, and swelling

If your kidney can’t expel the normal amount of urine it comes to swelling especially in your legs. This condition is known as water retention. Nausea might occur as a result of too many byproducts in your blood and shortness of breath happens when the pH levels in the blood are erratic.

Prevention and treatment

  • Reduce the intake of fat and sugar
