First Honor 7X Teardown Appears, Full Guide Available

Honor had introduced its new smartphone, the Honor 7X, earlier this month, and the first teardown for this handset has just popped up. Now, before we get to the teardown itself, it’s worth noting that this is a phablet, and that it is made out of metal. The Honor 7X also comes with a dual camera setup on the back, where its fingerprint scanner lies as well. The Honor 7X relies on on-screen buttons, as it does not have any other keys on its front side. Speaking of which, all of its physical buttons are placed on the right. Having said that, let’s move to the teardown itself, shall we.

In the gallery down below, you will find plenty of images which are showing off this teardown step-by-step. Now, the first thing you need to do, is power off the device, and remove its SIM card tray. Once you do that, proceed to remove two screws that are flanking the phone’s Type-C USB port. At this point, you’ll need a pick in order to separate the phone’s front panel from the rest of its body, though be careful not to break the fingerprint scanner cable. After you open the phone, you’ll need to detach the aforementioned fingerprint scanner cable, and then you can move to disconnecting the battery, and removing the metal plate that holds it in place. Once you do all that, you will get access to most other parts in the Honor 7X, and you’ll need to take a number of more steps in order to fully disassemble the Honor 7X, if that’s something you’re looking to do, of course.

Now, as is usually the case with teardowns, if you’re not 100 percent confident in your abilities, it might be best to let an expert handle the procedure. Click on the source link down below in case you need more info, as you’ll find a full teardown guide there. The Honor 7X sports a 5.93-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, 4GB of RAM and it comes in three different internal storage variants. The phone is fueled by the Kirin 659 64-bit octa-core processor, while it packs in a 3,340mAh non-removable battery. 16 and 2-megapixel snappers are placed on the back of this phone, while you will find an 8-megapixel shooter on the phone’s front side. Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on the Honor 7X, while you’ll find Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 5.1 skin on top of it.
