Mysterious Meizu Handset Pops Up, Sports Really Thin Bezels

Meizu’s senior VP confirmed that the Meizu MX7 will launch next year, while the company’s exec said that the company’s bezel-less phone will also land next year, and yet, a new Meizu handset has just surfaced, and it looks rather sleek. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get to see the phone in question, and as you can see, it sports really thin bezels all around, and if this leak is legit, this phone probably won’t be announced for another couple of months.

The device barely has any bezel on the sides, while hits top bezel is also quite thin. The thickest bezel can be found below the display where the phone’s mBack home key is placed, though that bezel is also not that thick, which makes the phone look rather unique. This handset’s display sports rounded corner,s, and considering that its display is powered on, we can also see that black bars are not really an issue here. The device seems to sport a frame made out of metal, but we unfortunately don’t get to see the back side of this phone, so we don’t really know if it will be made out of metal or glass It is rather easy to see that Meizu’s Flyme OS is running on this phone, based on the camera shortcut on the lockscreen, its clock and date widget, and also its icons up top.

Now, the mBack button that we’ve mentioned actually acts as a physical home key, capacitive back button and also a fingerprint scanner, at least that was the case thus far. Meizu has been including that multifunctional physical key on its smartphones for quite some time now, and the company may opt to do the same with the upcoming bezel-less handset. The device that leaked today actually looks most believable out of every other alleged ‘bezel-less’ Meizu phone that leaked thus far, but we cannot confirm is it legit or not, we’ll just have to wait until next year, and see what will Meizu announce. The Meizu PRO 7 Plus is the company’s current flagship, and that device actually comes with a secondary display on the back, which shows that Meizu has started taking in new design ideas, so the company’s flagship for 2018 is a mystery at this phone, who know what we’ll get.
