ZTE Blade Force Heads to Boost Mobile with $129 Price

ZTE has just announced its latest smartphone for the prepaid market, which is the Blade Force and it’ll be heading to Boost Mobile. The company is highlighting this as the “most affordable HPUE capable smartphone on Boost Mobile”, which basically means it’ll take advantage of Sprint’s latest network technology. The ZTE Blade Force is available today, and will be priced at $129. This is a promotional price, so it’ll likely go up in the near future.

For $129, you are actually getting a rather impressive smartphone from ZTE. There is a 5.5-inch HD IPS display here, along with an unnamed Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that is paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. There is also a micro SD card slot available for expanding storage, and it supports up to 128GB. ZTE has placed a 8-megapixel camera on the rear with a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter for those all important selfies. Rounding out the spec sheet is a 3000mAh battery. Which is about the size of battery that comes in most flagships these days, but it’s in a lower-end device, and that should keep the Blade Force going all day long. On the software front, it is running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, there’s no word on whether it’ll be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo, but it is fairly likely.

The ZTE Blade Force is the company’s latest addition to its prepaid portfolio. ZTE is continuing to focus heavily on its prepaid market, and that’s because it is the fourth largest smartphone maker in the US. And that just goes to show that, while many people love hearing about the latest flagship smartphones like the Galaxy S8 and LG V30, many more are buying these cheaper devices, because it fits their budget, or does exactly what they need it to do, which is keeping them connected. The ZTE Blade Force is available today, online at Boost Mobile’s website and it is also available in select stores. If you’re not a Boost Mobile customer, you can “Make the Switch” and get two lines of unlimited talk, text and 3GB of data (throttled after the 3GB limit, no overages here) for just $50 per month.\
