Samsung Undecided On Galaxy Note 9 Camera Orientation: Leak

It seems like Samsung is still undecided when it comes to the Galaxy Note 9’s dual camera orientation. According to a new rumor / leak which surfaced in China, Samsung Galaxy Note 9’s dual camera orientation will depend on how large the phone’s battery is. If you take a look at the provided image, you will get a visual representation of what the source is talking about. So, if Samsung opts to utilize a larger battery on the inside of the Galaxy Note 9, we’ll get a horizontal dual camera orientation, while a vertical camera orientation will be included in case the company opts for a smaller battery pack.

As most of you probably already know, the Galaxy Note 8 features vertically-aligned dual cameras, and a fingerprint scanner next to them. Well, a fingerprint scanner will be located below the dual camera setup on the Galaxy Note 8, as is the case on the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, and that fingerprint scanner will be as small as it is on the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. Now, it remains to be seen what camera orientation will Samsung opt for, but if at all possible, the company may opt for a vertical one in order for the Galaxy Note 9 to be in line with the Galaxy S9. The Galaxy S9 Plus was actually initially rumored to sport a 4,000mAh battery, but the company opted for a 3,500mAh one in the end, and the phone’s camera orientation may have something to do with it. Chances are Samsung would have more space to fit a 4,000mAh battery inside the Galaxy S9 Plus if it opted for a different camera orientation, though we’re only guessing, as there are plenty of other components to think about, not to mention battery heating as well, especially considering the fate of the Galaxy Note 7.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to arrive in August, though we’re still not sure when exactly, even though some rumors regarding its release date have already surfaced. The Galaxy Note 9 will be made out of metal and glass, just like the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, and it will sport a curved display. The device will be fueled by either the Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810, depending on where you buy it, and chances are we’ll see at least 6GB of RAM on the inside of the phone. Android 8.1 Oreo will come pre-installed on the Galaxy Note 9, while Samsung’s custom UI will be included on top of it.
