Skagen’s New Falster 2 Wear OS Looks Great and has Almost All the Features

Skagen Falster 2 Wear OS

To go with today’s big Wear OS redesign news, Skagen has announced its newest smartwatch, the Falster 2. It’s a lot like the original Falster with its minimal design, but this time we get all the features, assuming you can ignore the old Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor inside.

The new Falster 2 looks great, has NFC, built-in GPS, heart rate monitoring, Google Assistant, interchangeable bands, and a price that isn’t absurd. The Falster 2 will cost $275 when it goes on sale, the same price as the original.

But as I mentioned above, this watch still uses the old-as-hell Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100. That chip is 2.5 years old and should not be featured any longer, especially with a new Snapdragon Wear chip expected to be announced in 2 weeks. I’m not sure what the Fossil Group (who owns Skagen) is doing with all these new releases.

Either way, as great as this watch looks, you should probably pass on it.
