Sprint To Offer Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Flagship At 50% Off

Sprint on Thursday disclosed the pricing and availability details of the Galaxy Note 9, having done so shortly after Samsung officially announced its latest Android flagship in New York City. As is the case with the other three national carriers in the United States, Sprint will start accepting Galaxy Note 9 pre-orders from tomorrow and will release the device on August 24, though customers who place advanced orders on the device will start receiving it as early as August 22. Likewise, the company’s customers will only be able to choose between the Ocean Blue and Lavender Purple variants of the base model which ships with 128GB of storage space and 6GB of RAM.

While T-Mobile opted for a BOGO deal to promote the Galaxy Note 9, Sprint will be offering the handset at 50-percent off through its Sprint Flex Lease plan which comes down to $20.83 per month. The Android smartphone is also eligible for the company’s Galaxy Forever offer which will allow you to upgrade to the latest Samsung-made Android flagship after twelve Sprint Flex payments. For a limited time, Sprint’s existing and switching customers will be able to take advantage of the early adopter deal Samsung already detailed earlier today and get a pair of AKG wireless headphones regularly priced at $299 at no extra cost alongside their purchase. Alternatively, they’ll be able to opt for 15,000 V-Bucks for battle royale hit Fortnite which is launching as a Samsung device exclusive, thus saving $150. The final option is to get both for only $99, thus still saving $350.

It’s presently unclear whether Samsung has any plans to bring the Midnight Black and Metallic Copper Galaxy Note 9 models to the U.S. in the future, though the company’s unexpected decision to avoid releasing a traditional black flagship in North America may be an attempt to differentiate the newly launched phablet from the Galaxy S9 series which Samsung itself says sold poorly so far.
